On February 5, 1986, the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America (UAW), and several individual members of a class of retired hourly employees of the Eaton Corporation and the Cleveland Gear Company filed the above-entitled action against Cleveland Gear Company, Eaton Corporation, Vesper Corporation and the Insurance Plan for Hourly Employees of UAW Divisions of Cleveland Gear (the Insurance Plan).
