For three years in the early 1970’s, Adam Opel, A.G. (“Opel”), the wholly-owned German subsidiary of General Motors Corporation (“GM”), sold components and engines to Frank Reisner, the owner of a small specialty automobile manufacturing company in Italy, Intermeccanica Automobili, for use in manufacturing a high performance sports car called the Indra.
