Huff, J.), entered June 15, 1989, dismissing the complaint, following a jury verdict in favor of defendant Manhattan and Bronx Surface Transit Operating Authority ("MABSTOA”) reversed, on the law, the facts and in the exercise of discretion, and the case remanded for a new trial, without costs.

The cumulative effect of improperly admitted hearsay evi*403dence and improper assertions by counsel for MABSTOA was so prejudicial to plaintiff as to warrant a new trial.
