Petitioner Charles Andrew Dorchy, a state prisoner presently confined at the Carson City Correctional Facility in Carson City, Michigan, has filed a petition for writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Petitioner was convicted of first-degree premeditated murder and felony firearm following a jury trial in the Oakland County Circuit Court in 1998.
