Donald Vogelsang appeals from a district court 1 order denying his motion for an extension of time to file a notice of appeal. Following an adverse judgment on Vogel-sang’s age discrimination claim, Vogel-sang’s attorney deposited a notice of appeal in the mail. This notice was not received by the district court clerk within the thirty days required by Federal Rule of Appellate Procedure 4(a)(1).
