This appeal presents the question of whether a person who has been found “disabled” and placed under a “guardianship of the estate” under the Probate Act of 1975 (Act) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 1101/2, par. 11a — 1 et seq.) may petition for a dissolution of marriage.

On February 23, 1983, the petitioner, Lawrence Kutchins, was placed under guardianship of the estate by the circuit court of Cook County in accordance with section 11a — 3(a)(2) of the Act.
