The appellant, Leodis Bell, was convicted of the crime of murder in the first, degree and sentenced to life imprisonment; and he prosecutes this appeal.
We have carefully studied the record and find no error except the one unfortunate incident involving a communication between the Trial Judge and the Jury; and that incident necessitates a reversal. After the evidence had been concluded, the instructions given, and the arguments made, the Jury retired to consider its verdict; and while the Jury was thus deliberating, on September 14th, there occurred the incident which…
