The plaintiffs-appellants Michael Mottl, Rod Tam, Chris Halford, David Miller, Diane Ferreira, and the University of Hawaii Professional Assembly (“UHPA”) [collectively, “the plaintiffs”] appeal from the first circuit court’s final judgment filed on July 20, 2000, in favor of Earl I.
