BEAM, Circuit Judge.

Warren Blankenship appeals his forty-six month sentence for possessing an un*704registered firearm while being a methamphetamine user. Because the district court failed to make a required finding concerning an upward adjustment, we reverse and remand to the district court for further proceedings.

I. BACKGROUND
