MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

PAUL L. FRIEDMAN, District Judge.

This matter is before the Court on defendant Tyrone Weaks’ motion to reduce his sentence pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 3582(c)(2). The government opposes Mr. Weaks’ motion. 1 For the reasons stated below, the Court will deny the motion.

On April 11, 2002, Mr. Weaks pleaded guilty to (1) possession with intent to distribute five grams or more of cocaine base (“crack cocaine”), in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) and (b)(1)(B); and (2) possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking offense, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c)(1).
