OPINION
DALLY, Commissioner.
This is a delayed appeal from a conviction for murder; the punishment, ninety-nine years’ imprisonment. Appellant was' convicted on January 28, 1958, and sentenced on May 6, 1958. The judgment was later affirmed by this Court. See King v. State, 167 Tex.Cr.R. 492, 320 S.W.2d 841 (1959).
On June 29, 1973, we held on appellant’s application for a writ of habeas corpus that he had been denied an effective appeal and ordered that counsel be appointed and briefs be filed in a new appeal “under the rules governing the appellate procedure conforming to the appropriate…
