This is an action brought pursuant to Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. (hereinafter Title VII) and 42 U.S.C. § 1981 to recover for alleged racial discrimination in employment. Plaintiff alleges he was discharged on account of his race. Defendant contends that plaintiff’s discharge resulted from his brandishing an open knife and threatening a member of management.
