The object of this suit is to set aside, on the ground of lesion beyond moiety, a sale made by C. T. Guidry to the defendant, Laporte. The vendor died a few months after making the sale, and this suit is brought by his widow and his heirs. The property is a lot of ground, with buildings on it, situated at the corner of State and Lafayette streets, in the town of Abbeville. The date and the price of the sale have to be borne well in mind for the understanding of what is to follow.
