This is an appeal from a judgment expropriating a square of ground in New Orleans between the levee and the Biississippi river. A part of the square is, in fact, in the river.

The plaintiff is a railroad corporation, operating terminal facilities in New Orleans, on the east and on the west bank of the river, for two trunk line railroads, namely, the Texas & Pacific Railway and the Missouri Pacific Railway.
