In this consolidated appeal from two rulings of the Family Court, we are required to address novel issues concerning the ap-pealability of the denial of a divorce petition after the death of the appellant and the status of property claims asserted ancillary to the divorce proceedings. The appellant, Ann Angelli (“Daughter”), who is the executrix of the estate of her father, Alexander Sherway (“Husband”), has succeeded to the appeal filed by Husband shortly before his death.
