This is an action against appellee begun by filing a petition in substance as follows:

“The undersigned, administrator of the estate of Elizabeth Montgomery, deceased, complains of the defendant and says that he is informed, and has good reason to believe, that said decedent was, at the time of her death, the owner among other things, of certain property of the value of $1,500.
