in which PATRICIA J. COTTRELL and FRANK G. CLEMENT, JR., JJ., joined.

This appeal illustrates the fate that awaits plaintiffs who file suit in general sessions court when their damages exceed the court’s jurisdictional limits. After the plaintiff was seriously injured in an automobile accident, he filed suit in the Davidson County General Sessions Court against the driver of the other vehicle and the other driver’s employer.
