OPINION

WILLIS, Judge:

Appellants challenge the district court’s grant of summary judgment to respondent on appellants’ legal-malpractice, breaeh-of-contract, and negligent-misrepresentation claims. We conclude that the district court appropriately granted summary judgment to respondent on appellants’ negligent-misrepresentation claim. The district court also correctly found that there are no genuine issues of material fact as to whether appellants have standing to sue respondent for legal malpractice under a contract-assignment or a tort theory.
