H. B. Standley, a citizen and taxpayer of Lonoke County, for himself and other taxpayers, instituted this action against the County Board of Education of Lonoke County, naming them, and W. C. Davis, as defendants. The complaint alleged that the county board of education, at a meeting held on, June' 13, 1925, elected W. C. Davis as county superintendent of Lonoke County and entered into a contract with him, beginning July 1, 1925, and to continue for a period of .three years, at a salary of $125 per month; that, under and by virtue of act No. 375, a special act of the General Assembly of 1921,…
