Ejectments were brought by Lansing against Brown and Nelson, who were tenants of Law, and he joined with them in the defence. The suits, though for different parcels of land, depended upon the same question. At the circuit, the parties stipulated that but one suit should be tried, and the other should abide the event. A verdict was found for the plaintiff in the suit tried, subject to the opinion of the supreme court on a case, with liberty to either party to turn it into a bill of exceptions. The…
