On the 11th of August, 1944, the body of a man was found in the Mohawk River in the town of Niskayuna, Schenectady County, N. Y. Subsequently it'was identified as the body of Edward Reali, a newspaper vendor and ‘ ‘ numbers agent ”, who had resided in the city of Schenectady, N. Y., and who had been missing for three days. An examination revealed that his skull was fractured in three places, two depressed fractures just back of and behind the ears, and a connecting linear fracture.
