The plaintiff telephone company (NET) alleged in its June, 1992, complaint that, as the result of construction work that the defendant (Gourdeau) performed at NET’S building in Nashua, New Hampshire, Gourdeau, in *659breach of its contractual obligations, caused damage to NET’s equipment. NET’s breach of contract claim, based on damage that allegedly occurred in August, 1986, is barred under a New Hampshire three-year statute of limitations, if it is applicable. N.H. Rev. Stat.
