MEMORANDUM OPINION

MICHAEL, Senior District Judge.

On September 17, 1996, United States Magistrate Judge B. Waugh Crigler issued a Report and Recommendation in which he recommended that Plaintiff Rheva A. Williams’s motion for summary judgment under Fed.R.Civ.P. 56 be denied and that of Defendant Charlottesville School Board (“School Board”) be granted. Both parties filed objections, obligating this eourt to review the case de novo. Orpiano v. Johnson, 687 F.2d 44, 48 (4th Cir.1982).
