The defendant, Illinois Central Railroad Company, has perfected an appeal to this court from a judgment in the sum of $2,500 which was entered in favor of plaintiff appellee, Susie F. Young and against the defendant company after trial and verdict by a jury in the circuit court of McLean county. Plaintiff alleged that she had sustained injuries and resultant damages by falling down two intervening steps between the floor levels of adjoining toilet and wash rooms, negligently constructed and maintained by the defendant company for…
