TAMM, Circuit Judge:
The former Assistant Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Rita M. Lavelle, appeals her conviction for perjury and obstruction of justice. The charges stemmed from testimony given to congressional committees in February 1983 concerning her participation in the administration of the EPA’s “Superfund” program in matters affecting her former employer, Aerojet-General Corporation.
