CRANDALL, Presiding Judge.
Defendant, Michael Athanasiades, appeals from the judgment of convictions, after a jury trial, of murder in the first degree and armed criminal action. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without eligibility for probation or parole and a con*339secutive term of imprisonment of twenty-five years. Defendant also appeals from the order denying his Rule 29.15 motion for postconviction relief. We affirm the direct appeal. The denial of defendant’s motion for postconviction relief is affirmed in part and reversed in part and remanded.
