The mayor of Pawtucket, in his capacity as Public Safety Director, filed this petition for common law writ of certiorari seeking review of a decision of a hearing committee appointed pursuant to the Law Enforcement Officers’ Bill of Rights, G.L. 1956 (1977 Reenactment) chapter 28.6 of title 42 (the Officers’ Bill of Rights).
