ATLEE, Judge.
After a bench trial, the Circuit Court for the City of Newport News (“trial court”) convicted appellant Michael Paul Reid of two counts of obtaining money by false pretenses. On appeal, Reid argues that the trial court erred in denying his motion to strike the Commonwealth’s evidence regarding the two counts of obtaining money by false pretenses because: (1) a loan of currency was legally insufficient to transfer both title and possession of the property in question to Reid, and (2) the evidence failed to establish that the pretenses Reid used to obtain the currency were false.…
