Violet Black (hereinafter, “Black”) appeals the trial court’s judgment dismissing her petition for compensatory and punitive damages against Rite Mortgage and Financial, Inc. (hereinafter, “Defendant”) after Black failed to amend her petition. In her sole point on appeal, Black argues the trial court erred in dismissing her petition in that she was not required to amend her petition after the trial court denied Defendant’s initial motion to dismiss.
