BOEHM, Justice.

Benjamin Ritchie was convicted of killing Beech Grove police officer William To-ney. Because the victim was a law enforcement officer, the prosecutor sought the death penalty. The jury recommended death and the trial court imposed that sentence. We affirm the conviction and sentence.

Factual and Procedural Background
