The attorney-general appealed from the personal assessment of the appellee for the year 1925, under the provisions of chapter 120, Laws of 1918, permitting the attorney-general to appeal from such assessment.

The attorney-general filed a petition to the court for the issuance of a writ of subpoena duces tecum tó produce the books of the company, and for an inspection under the direction of the court, and permission to take copies of such entries as might be pertinent to the ap peal.
