The issue in this appeal is whether an automobile dealer’s bond indemnifying against fraudulent automobile sales by a North Carolina dealer applies only to sales taking place wholly within North Carolina’s borders.

Duval Mawyer brought this action against Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Company (Lumbermens) to recover on a judgment rendered against Lumbermens’ insured, Carolina Car Company, by the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia for violation of 15 U.S.C. §§ 1981 et seq.
