The indictment avers that "Allan G. Blakeney, alias Allen G. Blakeney whose name is otherwise unknown to the Grand Jury, feloniously took and carried away, to-wit, 17 cows or animals of the cow kind, the personal property of William A. Ganguet * * * against the peace and dignity of the State of Alabama." This charges in substantial language the offense proscribed by the statute (Code 1940, Title 14, Section 331)…
