This suit was brought by the appellant in the Circuit Court of Baltimore City, and was subsequently removed into the Circuit Court of the United States for the District of Maryland. Its principal object was to obtain a decree setting aside, as void against the appellant, certain construction contracts between the Union Kailroad ■ Company of Baltimore, James J. Dull, 'William M. Wiley, and,K. Snowden Andrews; a contract of arbitration between that company and James J. Dull, surviving partner of "William M.
