STATEMENT OF THE CASE

On May 20, 2002 the State filed a bill of information charging the defendant-appellant Jamal Bradley with one count of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, a violation of La. R.S. 40:966(A)(1). He entered a not guilty plea at arraignment on May 23, 2002. A motion to suppress and preliminary hearing were held on May 31, 2002 at the conclusion of which the court denied the motion to suppress and found probable cause to sustain the charge.
