The city of New York instituted proceedings pursuant to a resolution of the board of estimate and apportionment adopted July 27, 1916, for the purpose of acquiring title to the property situated on the west slope of. Inwood Hill for a park. The title to the property acquired in this proceeding vested in the city of New York on December 15, 1917, by virtue of a resolution of the board of estimate and apportionment.
