This is an appeal by the village of Lyons from a judgment in an action of quo warranto ousting said village from exercising or attempting to exercise its municipal franchises, functions and authority over certain territory adjacent to it, which the village, by the adoption of eight separate ordinances had purported to annex under section 7-11 of the Revised Cities and Villages Act. The territory involved is 160 acres of land, described as the northeast quarter of section 11, township 38 north, range 12 east of the third principal meridian in Cook County, Illinois.
