Appeal from an order of the Supreme Court (Demarest, J.), entered July 3, 1997 in St. Lawrence County, which denied defendants’ motion for partial summary judgment on the issue of “serious injury” and granted plaintiffs’ cross motion for partial summary judgment on the issue of liability.
