FLAUM, Circuit Judge.

Dale Schmid, D.D.S., Ralph Schmid, Katherine G. Dengler, and Michael Over-field (the “creditors”) filed an involuntary petition in bankruptcy against Zaddock & Co. (“Zaddock”) under § 303(b)(1) of the Bankruptcy Code of 1978. 11 U.S.C. § 303(b)(1). Shortly thereafter the creditors filed another involuntary petition against Zaddock’s president and principal shareholder Zadock Reid (“Reid”). The district court appointed an interim trustee to manage both Zaddock’s estate and Reid’s personal estate. Reid appealed the appointment of the interim trustee. We determined that at…
