The plaintiff, Joseph Sylva (“Sylva”), has brought suit against the defendant, Dr. Douglas Anthony (“Dr. Anthony”), alleging that Dr. Anthony, a neuropathologist, was negligent in failing to accurately diagnose a frozen section of Sylva’s brain tissue that Dr. Anthony was provided while Sylva was undergoing brain surgery.1 Immediately prior to trial, Sylva moved to allow attorney voir dire of the juiy venire.
