ARROWOOD, Judge.
*556Gregory K. Parks ("defendant") appeals from judgments entered upon his convictions for first degree murder, obtaining property by false pretenses, and obtaining habitual felon status. For the following reasons, we affirm.
*557I. Background
A warrant for defendant's arrest was issued and defendant was arrested on 19 August 2015 for the first degree murder and first degree kidnapping of Isabel Calvo Palacios, who was last seen on 31 July 2015. A Wilson County Grand Jury indicted defendant on one count of first degree murder and one count of first degree kidnapping on 12 October 2015.…
