Plaintiffs brought this action against defendants J. Robert James (James) and Elmo Meiners (Meiners) to recover damages from the sale of unregistered securities in violation of section 13 of the Illinois Securities Law of 1953 (Securities Law) (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 1211/2, par. 137.13). After a bench trial, the court entered judgment in favor of plaintiffs, and defendant Meiners appeals. Meiners challenges both his liability under the Securities Law and the award of attorney fees in the amount of one-third of plaintiffs’ recovery.
