Plaintiff-appellant Ruth Crane appeals from the trial court’s directed verdict in favor of defendant-appellee Lakewood Hospital at the conclusion of the plaintiffs evidence. Plaintiff claimed the hospital was negligent in the choice of chair placed in the hospital atrium, which slid out from under her on the tiled floor when she was bending over to retrieve an object.
