A military judge sitting as a special court-martial convicted appellant, pursuant to his pleas, of stealing merchandise worth $876.00 from the Navy Exchange, in violation of Article 121, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 921. The military judge sentenced appellant to a bad-conduct discharge, confinement for 75 days, forfeiture of $600.00 pay per month for 3 months, and reduction to the lowest enlisted grade.
