MEMORANDUM OF DECISION

Before the court is the “Objection to Claim of Statutory Exemption” filed by Lindsay Gordon (“Lindsay”), a judgment creditor in the above referenced matter. By the enactment of Md.Code Ann., Cts. & Jud.Proc. § 11-504(g) (1995), Maryland opted out of the federal exemption scheme pursuant to 11 U.S.C. § 522(b)(1). This case involves the application of Md.Code Ann.Cts. & Jud.Proc. § 11 — 504(b)(5) (1995). At the direction of the court, the parties submitted post-hearing memoranda of law in support.
