This is an action to recover on six promissory notes aggregating the principal sum of $24,000, all signed “King & Company; J. Charles King.” The first of these notes is for $3,000, dated September 7, 1922; the second for $5,000 dated September 22, 1922; the third for $3,000, dated October 25, 1922; the fourth for $5,000, dated December 29, 1922. These four notes are payable to Harry or Millie K. Jacobson. Harry Jacobson died prior to the commencement of the action, and plaintiff, his widow, acquired his interest in the notes.
