Following a jury trial, appellant was convicted of two counts of making false statements to a firearms dealer in connection with the purchase of a firearm (Counts I and II), in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(a)(6), and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (Counts III and IV), in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). Appellant was sentenced to a seventy-eight month term of imprisonment for his violations of § 922(g)(1), and a concurrent sixty-month term for his violations of § 922(a)(6).
