¶ 1. This appeal arises from a complaint filed by Bonnie Smith pursuant to the Mississippi Tort Claims Act 1 (MTCA) against Harrison County, Mississippi, alleging that she sustained emotional injuries while working as a nurse for a private contractor at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center (HCADC) as a direct and proximate result of the actions of the agents and employees of Harrison County.
