Petitioner seeks a writ of certiorari to review an order adjudging him in direct contempt of court. According to the order, the allegedly contemptuous conduct consisted in “yelling at the judge in front of the jury in a loud, rude, hostile and disrespectful tone of voice.” (Italics added.) Petitioner contends the order must be annulled for two reasons: (1) It is defective under Code of Civil Procedure section 1211, subdivision (a), 1 insofar as it fails to recite in so many words that the cited behavior occurred in the “immediate view and presence” of the court, and (2) it…
