This case arises out of a tragic accident in which appellant suffered serious permanent injuries when he entered a sealed compartment on a barge and collapsed from lack of oxygen. Appellant filed a ten-count complaint against four defendants, 1 and in a bifurcated trial the jury held for the defendants on all claims. Appellant now appeals, alleging a host of evidentiary and procedural errors as well as a general bias against him on the part of the district court. We affirm, finding that the district court conducted the trial in a proper and impartial manner.
